This new gelato is heaven on earth!
I’ve been following this local brand for a while now and recently I had the pleasure of FINALLY getting to taste it!
Momenti Gelato, taking gelato to a whole new level.
Now I’ve been to Italy so I’ve tasted a lot of authentic Italian gelato and I have to say, this gelato is perfection! I tasted 2 flavours (featured in image above): Gianduja [Hazelnut Chocolate] & Stracciatella [Choc Chip]. Both were insanely mouth-watering, the perfect combination of creaminess and flavour. It’s a moment of just you and the gelato. Momenti is not just ordinary gelato, it’s an experience.
The crazy part is this gelato is made here in Durban and with all REAL NATURAL INGREDIENTS.

What’s the difference between Gelato & Ice Cream?
“Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream. It starts out with a similar custard base as ice cream, but has a higher proportion of milk and a lower proportion of cream and eggs (or no eggs at all). It is churned at a much slower rate, incorporating less air and leaving the gelato denser than ice cream.” – The Kitchn
